  1. And It’s a… Baby!

April 9, 2009 by Tom Sepper

Today was our big ultrasound for Peanut and I’m happy to report back that Peanut “passed” with flying colors!

The doctor looked at and measured everything under the sun: head, brain, neck fold, heart, kidneys, lungs, stomach, intestines, umbilical cord, legs, arms, etc. All looked and measured right-on for the gestational age. He is actually going to bring us back at 32 weeks so that he can get another look at Peanut’s intestines given Katie Lynn’s past.

Of course we got some great pictures!

And no, we don’t know the sex. ;)

  2. Peanut Update.. For Real

April 2, 2009 by Monica Sepper

We had our appointment this afternoon.  Everything went well and all checked out great! It is all moving so fast. Peanut’s heartbeat was found right away and was beating away at 153 beats per minute.  Perfect.

New sonogram date…there was some testing offered the 12th week of pregancy and we passed on it.  Then we had another offer today to have blood work done for some of the normal testing and we passed on it again.  We know that test can be good and bring you insight but there is also risk with testing.  Since we passed on both tests, our doctor told us that we would be seeing a High Risk Pregnancy doctor for our sonogram.  This is what their practice does when a patient passes on the first couple rounds of testing.  We are NOT considered high risk at this time (hopefully not at all).  The doctor said that the sonogram machines are much better there and that if there were to be something wrong that they would more likely pick up on it.  Our doctor also said that the machines are new and that the doctor over there was super excited about them.  She said that he might even make us a cd with pictures, do a 3-D picture scan and make lots of prints!!! That would be great.  This doctor also happens to be at the new Chilren’s Medical Hospital at Preston and Legacy — that is why everything is new and they are so excited to try it all out. We are very excited about this.

Since our doctorr recommeded that we do this, we cancelled our sonogram appointment for the 14th and now will have our appointment next THURSDAY!!! A whole week away.  So excited, it has been so long since we have seen our little Peanut.

We will post pictures and an update next week. 7 days!

  3. We’re Mean

    by Tom Sepper

No, we’re not having twins. Of course it was an April Fool’s gag.

We’re sitting watching American Idol when Monica says, “You know what we should have done..?” Always loving a good joke, I naturally agree and say “let’s do it!”

Monica does have an appointment today though, and then in two weeks comes the big sonogram!

    Don’t kill us. :)

  4. Peanut Update

April 1, 2009 by Tom Sepper

I realized we really haven’t posted much about Peanut and Monica’s pregnancy lately.

Monica had a regular check-up appointment today, and all is great! Both heartbeats were in the 140s — which is right on track. We’re excited about “the big sonogram” coming up in two weeks so we can see how our little Peanuts are growing.

I know.. this is short.. but it’s been a long week at work and I’m actually going to turn off the laptop now.
