  1. Full Term!

August 11, 2009 by Tom Sepper

    We made it!

Yesterday marked the 37 week point — full term! Since Katie Lynn arrived around the 36 week mark, we were ecstatic to make it to 37 weeks.

Monica’s appointment went very well! Peanut is measuring roughly 38 weeks and weighs around 7lbs 3oz. We discussed “the plan” with the doctor and got her thoughts. Monica’s blood pressure has generally been fine throughout her pregnancy but at times it has been elevated in relation to her norm. Depending on how Monica’s checkup goes a week from today, an induction might be scheduled for Thursday, August 20! We’ll definitely keep everyone updated.

  2. Getting ready….big changes

July 29, 2009 by Monica Sepper

    Warning: Lots of photos ;)

We have been on the go, go, go!!! We have a list of things that need to be done and it seems as we cross 1 thing off, we add 2 more.  We have spent the last couple of weekends getting ready for our new baby.  It has been a lot of fun and I think we are ready, or as ready as we can be.

We got Peanuts room finished, Katie Lynn into her big girl bed and our bags packed.

    Here are some photos, enjoy.

    Peanuts Room:

Tom replaced the old light with a fan, this fan only took him 2 hours, unlike Katie Lynn’s which took him 5 ;)

Here are the numbers up in the room, my Mom cross-stitched this for me when I was a baby and my Dad made the frame.  I just love it!!

Here is our dresser/changing table.  Since then we found some cool tan and brown baskets to go in the cubbies to hold different goodies.

    Getting things ready for Peanut:

We were able to get the car seat base in the middle of Tom’s car and Katie Lynn’s seat stayed where it was.  She wasn’t sure what to think of her baby being right next to her.  There is also room for an adult to sit next to the baby seat….so I guess that is where I will be for the first couple of months.  (Make sure they are getting along)

We got all of our baby stuff washed, folded and put away.  Ready to go.  Much harder to do this as we had a little helper wanting to look at everything.  Here is Katie Lynn wearing one of her old bibs, we had so much fun! It was hard to believe that Katie Lynn was ever this small but then some of these outfits were to big and she was even smaller.

    Katie Lynn’s crib change:

We couldn’t keep her out of her new bed, she was all smiles.

First nap in her new bed:

We said “it was time to go night-night” and she looked at us and said “no, no”

Then we said again, “time to go night-night”.  She laid on the floor.

As we left the room, she stood there screaming.

Then, we waited outside her room and if you look close enough, you can see her little feet standing by the door.  I went in and rocked her to sleep and since then she has been doing pretty good sleeping in her new bed.  She loves being able to get in and out on her own.  When she gets up in the morning she goes to her door and knocks on it.  She then says “Mommy” and will knock and say mommy till Mommy gets up there.  She is just too cute!

    Bonus:

I just love this picture! Thought I would share.

  3. Peanut Update-32 weeks

July 13, 2009 by Monica Sepper

Here we are, 32 weeks into our 2nd pregnancy. (today is really 33 weeks but I am a week behind)  It is kind of scary to think that we will soon have another little one to watch and take care of.  We are so excited for the arrival of Peanut.  We can’t wait to meet him/her, see who they look like and really can’t wait to see how Katie Lynn reacts to a new baby.

Last week was a busy week, we had a sono appointment and our regular doctor’s appointment.  Both appointments went great!

Sono- the doctor checked out Peanut and was pleased with how the baby looked.  All of Peanut’s organs and growth look great also.  This doctor took a special look at the stomach and intestines, he said all looked good. Peanut’s heartbeat was 138 and from the measurements he/she weights about 4.5 pounds.

Regular appointment- We meet with another doctor in the practice, we have almost met them all.  This one was really nice and is the one that Monica has talked to on the phone several times when she has had to call after hours.  The doctor was please with all of Monica’s reports and she checked out the baby as well.  At this appointment Peanut’s heartbeat was 140 and measured at the 32 week mark.  Right on track.  Things are looking great! We couldn’t be more excited.

Here are some photos: What you really came for

Here is Peanut, you can see the face and the arm is going across the side of the face.

I love this one, you can see more of a profile but if you look closely, you can see all the hair on Peanut’s head.  The hair looks like it is combed to the side.  The sono tech kept going on and on about how much hair the baby has.

  4. Want a Chance to Win??

June 29, 2009 by Monica Sepper

Win what you ask…..not sure yet, but it will be something cool.

As you all know, Peanut’s due date is fast approaching. We are down to the final 9 weeks and based on Monica’s first pregnancy, could be sooner.  Our poll has been up for a little while now and this is just a reminder that it will close on the 1st of August.  So you know have about 1 month to get your 2 cents in or forever hold your piece.

For those of you wanting to know all the facts before you make that every educated guess here they are:

    • Monica craved salty items in the 1st trimester like deviled eggs and chips & salsa: 1st trimester with KL was sweets like anything chocolate
    • No morning sickness this time around or with KL
    • Monica seems to be carrying more out in front with Peanut and she carried more around with KL
    • Chinese Calendar states this is a girl: Chinese Calendar stated that KL was a boy
    • Both pregnancies have been fairly smooth sailing
    • Heartbeat with Peanut has run about 135-155 and Heartbeat with KL ran about 155-170
    • Peanut measures about 1-2 weeks ahead and KL measured right on for averages

Hope you have fun guessing and if you need any more information to make your super intelligent guess feel free to leave a comment.

How you win: Just so you know it is fair and we did not rig the game (Tom came up with the system)

It will be based on a point system after the gender is correctly guessed and the person with the lowest score will win

    • Weight: you will get 5 points for each pound you are off and 1 point for each ounce you are off
    • Length: you will get 1 point for each inch you are off
    • Day: you will get 1 point for each day you are off
    • Time: will only be used if needed for a tie breaker, you will get 1 point for each hour you are off

    Enjoy!

PS – If you already guessed and want to change anything, email Tom.
