We now have Baby Sepper’s furniture! A big thank you to Ryan and Kim for the use of Ryan’s truck for transport, their house for temporary storage, and for bringing the last piece we couldn’t fit in my car. A thank you also goes out to my dad for helping Ryan load the dresser into Kim’s Expedition.
We purchased a crib that will grow with the baby into a full size bed, a long dresser that will serve as the changing table, and a tall chest of drawers. Like many parents, we bought the furniture set from Babies “R” Us.
We also picked up our glider from KidSpace a little over a week ago. It is custom handmade, so it should last a very long time.

Last night, I felt the baby kick for the first time!! Words cannot describe how it feels finally being able to experience that moment.
So that’s it for this entry. Yes it’s short, but it’s too hard to try to put into words!

Wow, how time has flown. Today is officially our half way mark. We have enjoyed the journey so far and are looking forward to the future. The next 20 weeks are going to fly by. We are looking forward to when Tom can feel the baby for the first time, we are looking forward to when Monica has a big preggo belly and most of all we are looking forward to when our baby decides to greet us for the first time. (hopefully more on time than late)
At this point, we have the guest room closet cleaned out and all that is left in the room is a dresser and a bed. We have ordered our furniture and look forward to setting the baby room up. We also have the bedding and have a glider on order.
We have been very blessed and we can’t wait till December.

It’s been roughly nine weeks since our last ultrasound, so needless to say we were rather anxious for today’s appointment. I’m happy to report that all is great! Baby Sepper’s heart, brain, and spine all looked good.
Naturally, I have uploaded some scans of the ultrasound pictures from today’s appointment. They are in the gallery; the top four pictures. You’ll notice there are two 4D pictures! I was very excited about those.
This ultrasound appointment is the one where most parents learn the sex of their baby. Going against the trend, we decided long before we were even pregnant that we weren’t going to find out. This may surprise you, but we look at it this way. There are so few things in life that are actually a surprise, so why ruin it? This way we get neutral clothing and such and therefore can reuse everything if we are blessed with a second baby in the future.
